Being resilient when faced with a task I wasn’t sure how to do, under time pressure
In this past week, the team at D&P were working on a project for their client Antalis, the paper distributor and manufacturer. Antalis had recently acquired Arjowiggins after the latter had to shut down. Antalis thus bought the entire brand and all their physical assets (paper). Design & Practice were tasked to help with the strategy of how these new paper ranges can be incorporated into the existing Antalis range of papers. To visualise how papers of different colours and types could come together, D&P wanted to create colourful charts showing what papers could exist under brands together. I was asked to make these charts which would then be put into a presentation for the client.
At first I felt anxious because I wasn’t sure how to split the colours and papers into a visually coherent chart. I tried a few ways on Illustrator and after a while did successfully manage to create the charts, in time for the client presentation. I felt satisfied that I could solve my problem and push through to finish the task in good time.
